2016 saw the introduction of Local Law 152 by the Department of Buildings, or DOB, to local New York City legislature. This law, part of a larger overhaul to maximize the safety of gas lines, has made it so that all gas piping systems in all buildings need to undergo periodic inspections.

According to the law itself, the failure to comply with Local Law 152 could result in a civil penalty entailing a sum of up to $5,000.

I've long been relying upon AGP for help with my old house's plumbing emergencies and greatly appreciate the expert service the company provides.  Most recently, one of the owners and master plumbers, Tommy Sobolow, replaced some piping that had burst in my garage, and particularly impressed me with his thoughtful approach to the problem and the rapidity with which, working alone, he was able to resolve it.

Mauricio Morales was assigned to my case. He was very thorough in his analysis with my apartments leak. We clogged the shower stall and filled it up, and let it drain to debug issues. We went up and downstairs between units to observe stuff.

Afterwards he even spent time between the two units inspecting other unrelated things since he was already there.

The front desk was also very helpful in working with my building to establish COIs.

Would call again if needed.

The plumber who provided the service, Thomas Sobolov, with his assistant was extremely professional, knowledgeable and personable. He identified what needed to be done and completed the work efficiently. Any debris was quickly cleaned up.
I have used A Good Plumber on several occasions on both large and small plumbing issues. They have always been very accommodating and have done their work in a professional manner.
